A session with Tony Frontier, author of AI with Intention, on integrity, transparency and explainability — and what intentional AI adoption looks like for students, teachers and parents.

It was a great privilege to be part of this insightful session with Tony Frontier, author of AI with Intention, as a member of the TMS AI Council and Parent Industry Advisor.
My sincere appreciation to The Millennium School Dubai, Dr. Ambika Gulati, Uvani Fernando, Jerry Mukkadan, and the entire TMS leadership and AI Council team for the remarkable efforts in shaping the TMS AI journey.
What I particularly valued was our discussion around how TMS has been evolving its adoption of AI and, importantly, how we can approach it from three interconnected directions: students, teachers, and parents. Each has different opportunities, expectations, challenges, and responsibilities in this AI-powered education journey.
Tony Frontier's perspectives on integrity, transparency, explainability, academic integrity, responsible AI use, and authentic learning were especially relevant. The conversation about students acknowledging the use of AI, citing AI-supported resources, and explaining their learning independently is critical as AI becomes increasingly embedded in education.
As both a parent and an AI industry advisor, I deeply appreciate the proactive approach taken by the Principal and leadership team. TMS is not simply introducing more AI tools; it is working towards an environment where innovation is intentional, ethical, governed, secure, and centred around learning.
This journey also closely aligns with my doctoral research in Generative AI and Responsible AI in K–12 education, particularly around how schools can benefit from AI while maintaining appropriate governance, safety, transparency, and human oversight.
Building on this vision, through AI Made for All, I am developing Amana AI — trusted AI for every school: a governed, secure, single-login gateway to the AI models a school uses, designed around the needs of students, teachers, and parents. If you would like to know more, talk to us about Amana AI.
Looking forward to continuing this journey with TMS and contributing wherever possible towards responsible, safe, and meaningful AI adoption in education.
